Polyamory is both rewarding and full of challenges- especially when navigating the cishet-normativity and queerphobia in the community. This group is designed to support individuals seeking community as they navigate the unique difficulties found at the intersection of queerness and polyamory. This group will alternate between discussions centered around topic areas and open space for processing what is alive in the group. This group is co-facilitated by Blaze and their partner KK Lightsmith, both queer and poly themselves. 8 participants.

Trans and gender expansive individuals are often forgotten or ignored in their process of integrating erotic belonging in their bodies, communities, and the collective psyche. Sex, desire, the erotic, and/or the lack-there-of are central to self-actualization, and have beautiful, strange, exhilarating, and sometimes dysregulating manifestations in all bodies, including those of trans and gender expansive people. Together, we will explore the space of trans and gender expansive desire. We will encounter the meaning of queer erotic wholeness and use it for healing. This series will be co-led by myself and my trans non-binary partner. This group is a culmination of our work as embodied, trans therapists, sexual-beings-in-healing, and advocates for liberation. The group will be experiential, but will not include explicit sexual touch between participants or facilitators. 8 participants.

Process Group, 9 Months

Thursdays, 7pm - 8:30pm, Fall 2023

Georgetown Healing Arts

Process groups offer us a unique opportunity to hold and be held in our process within a growth and healing oriented community. In a process group, the individuals form a circle in which they mirror, play, experiment, enact, and care for one another. This format is fundamentally experiential and has the potential to be deeply transformative. Process groups offer individual transformation, but more importantly, they are a rare and sacred opportunity to be part of healing beyond the individual. For this reason, process groups are profound tools for healing isolation, working through issues of trust, and building skills that lead to a life of connection and right relationship. Facilitated by Blaze, 6 - 8 participants. Trans facilitated, open to people of all genders.

Holding the Healers - Monthly Experiential Space for Healers

Meets Virtually Every 3rd Friday 12-1:30 - March 15, April 19, May 17

Virtual

As healers, we get to enjoy the depths of connection and meaning in our work every day. AND the journey of the healer can be messy, painstaking, and heart breaking. At its best, we are changed by this work.

Consultations are such an important space for clarity, self-reflection, and emotional and energetic processing. Yet so many experiences of consult or turning to other professionals can be laden with caution and fear. So often they can feel guarded and tight by our own efforts to protect from the judgements of our peers and mentors. “What will they think of me? Will they respect me after this question? How do they all look so put together? Will they judge me if I don’t know ‘the’ answer to my question?”

In this monthly consult space, Kk and Liz will bring embodied, creative process to dive into the unknown. Our intent is to provide enough structure to hold exploration and enough space to bring your questions, cases, and sticky spots. We will draw from our mentor Leticia Nieto’s Beyond Inclusion, Beyond Empowerment approach to oppression and social justice. We will draw on theatre improv. Psychodrama. Somatics. Art. Song.
